Golden Gidgee is a Sujihiki type cooking knife. It has a 300x50mm blade of sanmai construction with a UHC damascus core and two different softer damascus jacket. The 150mm handle is of ringed Gidgee graciously put to my disposition by curlytimbers.com. The scabbard is of the same wood. the ferrule is made of 750 Au and finished with a fine swissmade single cut file. The commission was given to me in 2018 and was completed in May 2018....

Black hole is a unique experience to get a hollow place in the blade´s body just above the cutting edge.The blade is composed of 750 layers pure iron+15n20 on a SC145 core with 1,45% Carbon. The cutting edge length is 215mm the width is 50mm.This is a very thin blade meant to cut mainly into meat.
